Join the Day-Trippers Club! You must be a member to participate in any of the fun trips being planned for this year. Mail your check out to HR Day-Trippers Club, and mail to Carolyn Hollingsworth, Treasurer, at 1356 Ranch House. Or, just drop it off to the collection box on her porch. Please be sure to include your phone number, address, and e-mail address.
Good news! If you were a member in 2011 and paid your $5.00, there will be no dues for 2012. You will automatically be included as a 2012 member.

Kimbell Art Museum

The Kimbell Art Museum is the sole American venue for this first-ever international touring exhibition of the renowned Impressionist collection of the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The 73 paintings in the exhibition include 21 Renoirs and six Monets, along with works by Degas, Manet, Pissarro, Sisley, Morisot, Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec, and other prominent French painters of the period. Among them are some of the most familiar masterpieces of the Impressionist era.
Price includes round trip coach transportation to the Kimbell in Ft. Worth, tip for the driver, and your entrance ticket to the museum and audio guide.
We'll leave the Ranch at 9:15 and will return to the ranch at approximately 2:15PM. Lunch is available in the museum, but not included in the price. It consists of a buffet which serves Shelby Schafer's Famous homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, quiche, and desserts.
How to Sign Up for the Kimball Art Museum: Your payment is your sign-up! Deliver your check (for $28.00 per person payable to "HR Day-Trippers Club"), along with your signed Release Forms, to Carolyn Hollingsworth, Club Treasurer, at 1356 Ranch House. A collection box is on her porch. Be sure to include your phone number, address, and e-mail address. Upon receipt of your check, Carolyn will contact you to confirm that she had received your check and that you're on the list.
A Release Form is required of each person attending a Day-Trippers event. You can find the form on this website. Click on "Release Form" at the top of this page and print it out.
Also, be sure to include an additional $5.00 per person Membership Dues if you have not yet joined the Day-Trippers Club. If you've been on a previous Day-Trippers trip, then you're a member for this year and do not have to pay dues.

Dedicated to the development and preservation of the American musical, Lyric Stage is Dallas County's only locally produced professional musical theater company. Under Founding Producer Steven Jones' leadership it has become North Texas' most honored theater, winning 35 Dallas Theatre League Leon Rabin Awards and a special citation from the Dallas Theater Critics Forum for excellence and innovation. Lyric Stage has produced 17 world premiere musicals and two Off-Broadway productions.
Lyric Stage, Dallas County’s professional musical theater company, presents OKLAHOMA! June 15-24, 2012 in the Irving Arts Center’s Carpenter Performance Hall, 3333 N. MacArthur Blvd. Lyric Stage’s fully staged performance will feature the entire Lyric Stage Orchestra under the baton of Music Director Jay Dias.
OKLAHOMA! is the first musical written by the team of composer Richard Rodgers and librettist Oscar Hammerstein II. The musical is based on Lynn Riggs' 1931 play, Green Grow the Lilacs. The original Broadway production opened on March 31, 1943. It was a box-office smash and ran for an unprecedented 2,212 performances, later enjoying award-winning revivals, national tours, foreign productions and an Academy Award-winning 1955 film adaptation.
We'll depart the Ranch at 6:00PM to allow for an hour for the drive. The show begins at 8:00PM. We should be back at the Ranch around 11:00PM

Lone Star Race Track & Silks Package

They're Off! And we're off again to the Horse Races at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie! We've chartered a bus for the ride and have made arrangements for our group to enjoy the Races at the Silks Restaurant in the Clubhouse.
You're invited to join in on the fun. Our luxury bus leaves the Ranch at 11:30AM, and we should arrive back at the Ranch around 7:00PM.
The price includes bus transportation with driver tip, and admission to Lone Star Park with the Silks Restaurant Group package. The Silks Group package consists of admission to the Race Track, admission to the Clubhouse with seating in Silks, a very nice continuous all-afternoon buffet, program, and all taxes and gratuities. Pictured below is the Silks Restaurant with our group from last time.
